Harra's Entertainment, Information Week 500 ranked 15th

Harrah's Entertainment, Inc. ranked 15th in CMP Media LLC's Information Week 500, which annually honors the most innovative information technology users in the United States.

Harrah's was the highest ranked company in media and entertainment, and was the only gaming company in the top 100. It also outperformed all other hospitality and travel companies on the list. Harrah's, which ranked 259th on last year's list, was included in the Information Week 500 for the sixth consecutive year.

"The top 100 companies are distinguished by their clear and efficient strategies that cut costs and optimize productivity," Information Week wrote. "These companies have created a science that raises the bar for corporate governance and measures returns on investment and the value of business technology projects."
